The G'zOne Boulder is a handset offered by Verizon Wireless from August 2008 through November 2009. It was marketed as a durable, rugged, water-resistant handset that could weather rough handling and can be submerged in a meter of water for thirty minutes. The phone features Casio G-Shock technology. The phone is a clamshell design. ==Firmware over the air (FOTA) == The handset was one of Verizon's first to offer automatic updates of the handset's operating system software using firmware over the air (FOTA) technology. Whereas formerly, customers would have to dial *228 to manually run updates, this handset features a "special offering" mode complete with a notice beep and a countdown clock, warning the user of the automated imminent update.
